Jypsy Rose (Gran Casso x Portia/Pikadero)
2009 Chestnut BWP Filly
Jypsy Rose was bred to be an athlete. She is the first foal by our foundation stallion, Gran Casso and out of a very athletic, well bred jumper mare, Portia who is by Grand Prix show jumper Pikadero and out of a Prinz Gaylord mare. Pikadero arrived with some very impressive credentials, including approvals by the American Hannoverian Society, the German Hannoverian Verband, the Oldenburg Verband, the International Sporthorse Registry, and the Hessen Verband. At 16.1, he's now proving himself in the dressage and jumping arenas. He has placed in over 95% of all Grand Prix' started, won dozens of titles in the past nine years, represented the U.S.A. at the Volvo World Cup in Geneva, and was a member of the U.S. Equestrian Team at Hickstead, Champion Arnhem, and Aachen. His impeccable disposition is reflected in his offspring, which include many Champion Jumpers, Hunters, Dressage and Breeding Class horses. This exceptional filly was a premium foal at her BWP inspection and Site Champion. She placed 3rd in the regional in hand championships in 2009 and in 2010 was Region 9 Reserve Champion Filly! Not bad for a yearling!! She has beautiful movement and an absolutely wonderful temperament. She will make a fantastic sporthorse.
