Freedance (Freestyle x Dalliance/Davignport)
2008 Oldenburg Gelding

Picture

Freedance is by Freestyle. In 1998 at the Westfalen stallion Licensing, Freestyle was named a PREMIUM stallion. At the 100 day Performance test at Prussendorf he was awarded a perfect 10 for character and a 9 for temperament. In dressage he proved to rank amongst the best of his year and received a 9.33 for ridebility. His total score was 132.55 points. A truly versatile stallion Freestyle obtained a 7th place finish in jumping with an 8 for jumping ability. Freestyle was the overall winner of his performance test.  Freestyle is a class 1 stallion based on his results in his stallion performance test. He also boasts a dressage index of 151 points, the highest in North America, and in the top 1% of all German Dressage Stallions.

Freestyle is a son of the famous Rhinelander stallion Florestan I, who was champion of the Rhineland approvals in 1998, and in 1989 he was champion of his performance testing in Warendorf. Florestan I has produced famous stallions as Fidermark, Florencio, Faveur, Fleurop, Furst Heinrich, Florestan I has taken the top position in the FN breeding values for a number of years. Florestan I is famous for producing performance horses with very high ridebility. In 2004 two Florestan I sons won both the 5 and 6-year-old World Young Horse Dressage Championships in Verden.

Freedance is out of a ISR/OLD premium hanoverian mare, Dalliance,  by elite stallion, Davignport, who was an FEI dressage competitor and ranked 4th on the UDSF list for his offspring in dressage competition. Exceptional presence and lofty movement put Davignon into the limelight of Germany’s producers from the very start of his career. Since winning the Bundeschampionat (German National Championships) in Warendorf at 4 years of age, Davignon developed into a highly successful Grand Prix dressage stallion.

Davignon's sire Donnerhall is considered the leading Sire of the Century due to his many world accomplishments, including 1997 Team Gold Medal and individual Bronze Medal Winner at the European in Verden and Team Gold and 4th place individual finish at the 1998 World Championships in Rome. Both of his grandsires, Donnerwetter and Pik Bube, along with the full sister to Davignon's dam won many FEI level dressage competitions.

However, it is Davignon's offspring that give him true international status. Davignon is one of Europe's most sought-after stallions. Nine offspring of Davignon represented him in the 1998 Bundeschampionat in Warendorf. (It is prestigious for a stallion to be represented by even a single offspring in this annual event!) In 1997, Duvalier (Davignon-Bolero-Wendekreis) proudly claimed the championship title for his father in both the German and European Championships for five-year old dressage prospects. Duvalier, currently successful up to Grand Prix level, placed third in the final of the Piaff-Förderpreis with his rider Anna- Katharine Lüttgen in 2005.
With such accomplishments and earnings of his offspring, it is clear why Davignon has captured leading positions in the FN-index.
